Why does lumbar herniated disc easily relapse?

The patients’ condition can be relieved or recoveried after therapy and rest.However,the recurrence rate of lumbar herniated disc is primarily high,so many patients were confused by the problem unwillingly.
The following points are the reasons of high recurrence rate of lumbar herniated disc:
1.After treatment,the symptoms of lumbar herniated disc has basically disappeared,but nucleus pulposus of lots of patients have not restored.Only the degree of compressing nerves have been relieved or synechia with nerves have been removed.This will easily lead to relapse.
2.Although the patients’ condition is stable or recovered,nucleus pulposus will protrude again once they overwork or twist their waist within short time.As a result,lumbar herniated disc will reoccur.
3.In cold and damp season,the lumbar herniated disc patients should pay attention to keeping warm,to avoid the invasion of wind-cold-dampness evils.Meanwhile,overwork also will lead to the relapse of lumbar herniated disc.
4.Though this segment of nucleus pulposus has been removed after surgery,the stability of supero-inferior lumbar vertebra is not sound enough.As a result,the shedding of supero-inferior lumbar vertebra around surgery position will lead to the relapse of lumbar herniated disc.
